What the FA is¶
You shadow one co-founder — taking over his entire inbox and joining every meeting — and act as his operating backbone, so he can focus on client relationships and strategy while you keep his back free.
That is the role in one sentence.
The objective¶
Give the founder operational freedom and headspace. Take care of everything that drains his focus — legal, finance, compliance, client work — as pure execution.
Execution, not advisory¶
You prepare; the founder cross-checks. That is the operating contract. You are not hired to set strategy — you are hired to remove everything that stops the founder from doing it. When in doubt, prepare the thing and hand it over for a check rather than ask what to do.
Required fluency¶
Get fluent with Claude Code, MCPs, and coding agents — fast. The role is impossible without them, so treat this as required and close any gap in week one. (Whether it's framed as a hard hiring prerequisite or a week-one ramp is still being finalized with Simon — but either way, you need the fluency.)
Recommended ramp¶
Start with venture building. Owning one venture is how you learn the business model and the engine. From there, the inbox and meeting shadow scale up. See recurring-shapes.md and ../04-fa-operating-loop/venture-ownership.md.
