Communication

Write updates that make decisions and blockers visible. State facts, then your recommendation.

A good update

I clarified the ICP, drafted the landing page, and found 42 target prospects. Open question: should we position this as a community or a diagnostic first? I recommend diagnostic first — it creates sales conversations faster.

It states what is done, surfaces the open decision, and gives a recommendation with a reason.

A bad update

Still working on it.

It hides status, names no decision, and forces a follow-up.

The rule

Always separate facts, assumptions, and recommendations. Then say what you would do.
